Docapesca - Portos e Lotas, S.A. is a company in the State Business Sector, under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. Under the terms of Decree-Law no. 107/90 of March 27, Docapesca is responsible for providing the public service of First Sale of Fish on the Portuguese mainland, as well as supporting the Fishing Sector and its ports.

Due to its characteristics, Docapesca is spread across mainland Portugal, with its headquarters in Lisbon. Docapesca is made up of five Ports and Quotas Directorates, namely: North and Matosinhos, North Center, Center, South Center and Algarve.
